UPHC Wokha conducts outreach health camp at Tsumang ‘A’ Colony

Wokha, September 25 (MExN): Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) Wokha under CMO Wokha in collaboration with DAPCU, Mobile ICTC, NUN LWS Wokha, DVBO (NVBDCP) Wokha organized outreach health camp at Tsumang ‘A’ Colony on September 24. 

The team was led by Dr Thungjamo E Jungio, MO Nyiro PHC with an objective to reach out people in outreach area thereby establishing faith and building cordial relation with the locals, stated a press release issued by the UPHC Wokha. 

Oponthung Kinghen, UPHC District Consultant also highlighted the importance of outreach health camp in the community, reaching at the door providing free screening and testing, giving health related awareness, distribute free medicines  to treat common diseases and refer major cases. 

Kinghen urges the community to avail the facilities available. All together 42 patient turned up for RBS, ABO rh Typing, HIV, HCV, Hbsag, Malaria testing. Those patients were also provided free medicine after their health checkup. 

The medical team comprises of Doctor, Nurse, Lab Tech, Mobile ICTC, Link Workers, Surveillance Worker (SW), Ward ASHA and Pharmacist. Adv. Oren Humtsoe, Tsumang ‘A’ Colony Chairman also thanked the organizing committee and urges the community to avail the service available.
