KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 5 (MExN): The United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC) has enforced a shutdown of all Jio and Airtel offices and related activities in Kiphire from February 6 onwards till the companies restore quality network connectivity. In a letter to the central managers of Jio and Airtel, USSC Vice President, Sethrongba Y Yingbithongrü and Press Secretary, Thsapongse Sangtam said that despite its earlier ultimatum, the network connectivity in Kiphire continues to remain “pathetic.” This, it stated is “causing intense problem for the public and students community.” “Failing to adhere with the above directive, the conference will initiate its own course of action and in the events of any eventualities arises against the company, the concerned authorities shall be held solely responsible,” it cautioned. The USSC meanwhile appealed to the public to bear with the inconveniences till the issue is resolved.
