In a reiteration of its earlier stand, the Village Chief Federation today expressed readiness to approach the government as well as the factional leaders of the Naga national workers in order to bring the warring groups under one fold, but not before making a pointed reference on the functioning of the Naga NGOs like the Naga Hoho, NPMHR, NSF and NMA in the peace process.
Chairman of the Naga Customary Court and advisor of the Village Chief Federation, who was the Angami Sekrenyi Festival father at Touphema tourist village today, said that although the NGOs like Naga Hoho, NPMHR, NSF, NMA etc, have rendered tireless services towards finding a solution for the Nagas for many years, it has encountered manifold difficulties because of “improper functioning of their foundations”. Angami not only came down on the NGOs, but also on the underground factions.
He also said that instead of bringing peace, fratricidal killing and kidnappings of the innocents on almost daily basis is destroying the Nagas into pieces, and cautioned that such bloodshed will finish the Nagas within no time.
