Vipito V Swu releases his first original song ‘Too Young’

Vipito V Swu, a final year student of Sociology from St Joseph's College, Jakhama released his first original song ‘Too Young’ on is YouTube channel on September 18.

Swu composed the song with his friend Victor Kath who is an enthusiastic and renowned keyboardist. He says that there were many complications and challenges to get the song out for years (since 2017) and “so this song means a lot to me because of the story it holds.”

“Music for me is an opportunity to share my feelings and perception, a stand to connect people with  words and stories, a cry for help, a joy to extend, a message to spread and pretty much everything that one chooses to be,” the artist expressed.

‘Too Young’ is a song about the state of being in confusion, shambles and clutters. It is a tune about being forgotten, abandoned and irretrievable while yearning and hankering for affection; a helpless and marooned circumstance yet not wanting to give up.

A portion of the sings says, “The kind of love we speak is rare, the way we talk it says it clear, a tree that grows but never dries, a love that's real and never dies.”

Swu also shares that due to the COVID-19 situation, there were certain drawbacks in adjusting time to go to studio for recording and jamming and “so eventually making an outdoor music video has to be dropped replacing it with an animated lyric video which I am quite satisfied.”

“I just pray and hope that the listeners find the love and connection in the song,” he added.

The production team includes:

•    Audio and video production: Richa Production, Kohima
•    Keyboardist: Victor kath
•    Animation and graphic designing: Ibeto v swu
