Virtual becomes Reality

Kuknalim.com Reunion 2005

The settings of a perfect December evening on a beautiful Saturday, a day that seemed to linger longer and a moment that unveiled faces of past acquaintances and created a bond of friendship between strangers. Kuknalim Reunion was, by far one of the best events that rocked Nagas in Delhi. It was an occasion that did not, in the least failed the anticipated kukkers and the rest of the crowd present there.

This was perhaps the first gathering that made the virtual world a reality and a dream come true for many. On December 3rd, in the soothing area of Vasant Kunj where Atithi Banquet hall shone bright, here was one night to remember for many Delhites, whose enthusiasm to say a real hello and shake a hand did not let the chilling weather prevent them from giving it a miss.

Under the starry skies and in the midst of a decent crowd, Kukkers’ meet was one lovely occasion to cherish. The beats of music by Basement Blues and A4Apple that sent out ripples in the air were one of the main flavours of the Reunion. They kept the crowd asking for more until the music faded in a silent satisfaction of the cheering audience.

And there were surprises still unfolding. DJ Inovi warmed up the hall by his techniques and as the world sleeps, the spirited youth danced to the tunes of the music brushing aside their cares. The food served had nothing less to be said of. If we lived on it everyday, just imagine, dinner would always be a great feast.

For the students and office goers alike, kuknalim.com has always been a home. It is a site where friendships and relationships have bloomed for many and a growing hub that is constantly out on a venture to promote the better aspects of life. Offline or online, we know there are two great people behind the making of Kuknalim Reunion a grand success, besides all the wonders of the site that keeps our spirits soaring high. Jeremy Taylor and Yan Murry, the site administrators have made kuknalim.com a humble abode and our worlds seem a lot closer now.

Video cam and cameras flashing everywhere, capturing smiles and memories, the day still feels like a beautiful dream. I am looking forward to the next Reunion.
