Mokokchung, April 16 (MExN): The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) today stated that it is essential for all the voters in Nagaland to choose their “candidate/party wisely for the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha General Election 2024.”
It further appealed the ward chairmen, village councils and citizens to ensure “a Free and Fair Election” in their respective jurisdiction. The power of every citizen's vote weaves the fabric of governance in the colourful tapestry of democracy and the act of voting is not merely a right but a sacred duty that shapes the destiny of our nation, the AKM stated in a press release.
It also underscored the significance of responsible participation for all eligible voters, urging them to actively engage in the democratic election process, make informed and conscientious decisions, and contribute to fair and effective representation of their interests and concerns at the national level.
“We urge all the voters in Nagaland to exercise their right to vote with careful consideration and to prioritise the well being of the community and country,” the apex Ao Naga students’ body stated.
“By selecting a candidate wisely and encouraging everyone to exercise their rights, we fortify the foundations of a robust democracy, ensuring a brighter future for generations to come,” it added.
Meanwhile, the AKM also expressed its appreciation to clarion call of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) and Langpangkong Students' Conference (LKM) for Clean Election.
