The Vivekananda Welfare Foundation celebrated Children’s Day at Ebenezer Orphanage Home, Dimapur on November 14.
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 15 (MExN): Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF) observed Children's Day at Ebenezer Orphanage Home, Dimapur on November 14.
Vivekananda Welfare Foundation under the guidance of the Chief Functionary of Ebenezer Orphanage Home, Dimapur organised special food packets for the children and an extravaganza filled with music, dance and activities.
The programme began with a prayer, blessings and greetings of Diwali by the Chief Functionary of Ebenezer, Akhum.
"Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured , as they are the future of the nation and citizens of tomorrow," said Niranjan Saha, President of VWF while quoting Jawaharlal Nehru. He further urged the children to be pure as they are now and work hard to achieve their goals. He also shared some words on the significance of Children's Day.
He added that the motto of VWF is to serve humanity irrespective of caste, creed, sex, religion and community and serving the children of God with whatever way possible is “one of the best deeds in this world.”
