Dimapur, November 22 (MExN): Taking note of the yet another eviction of Inavi villagers on the 21st by the NSCN-IM, the Western Sumi Hoho and Western Sumi Youth Front has cautioned the underground outfit not to play favorites.
A joint statement from the executives of WSH and WSYF cautioned the NSCN-IM “not to display favoritism towards certain community” and “outright hatred towards some communities” lest it creates division within the Naga family. Strongly condemning the razing of the so-called Inavi village, the two Sumi frontal organizations stated that the outfit’s latest action is a blatant disregard for humanity “and we believe that one of the basic necessities of human existence is a shelter.”
The two Sumi organizations asserted that Inavi village is a “legally established village.” Wondering on the reason why “other villages are protected by the NSCN-IM” while Inavi village has been torched more than twenty times, the two organizations asserted that the WSH and WSYF will not yield till Inavi village is “fully-established” and its people are “settled comfortably.”
