Kohima, April 13 (MExN): The inaugural session of the two-day capacity building cum workshop programme for officers of Water Resource Department was held at the Chief Engineer's Office, WRD, Kohima on April 13.
Delivering the keynote address, a DIPR report stated, Chief Engineer, WRD, Hotovi Ayemi said that the capacity building cum workshop will enhance the abilities of the participants and will focus on understanding the obstacles faced by them.
Er Ayemi mentioned that the objective of the workshop is to discuss the achievements as well as the failures of the divisions and the head office, to formulate strategies and to streamline and implement necessary acts from the discussions given by the participants.
Additional Chief Engineer, WRD, Razouvolie Kelio, in his speech said that as the world is experiencing climate change, the department should be ready to meet any eventualities. He mentioned that there are challenges ahead and that they need to introspect their ideas, approaches and actions, which should be new and fresh.
Er Kelio asked the participants to feel free and share without any reservations, which would help them map a way forward for the Water Resource Department. He hoped that the workshop would motivate the participants with enthusiasm towards achieving their new goals and visions.
