Wokha, September 19 (MExN): A programme was held to induct the newly elected office bearers of Wokha District Chamber of Commerce & Industries (WDCC&I) for 2020-2023 tenure on September 19.
In the programme, the WDCC&I also bid farewell to outgoing members at WDC&VDBs Hall according to a press release from WDCC&I General Secretary.
The newly elected president, Renpithung Kikon said that the new team will work for the interest of business community in Wokha. He called upon the businesses community to come forward and extend support towards the association to help them serve better. The outgoing president Renponthung Ezung, congratulated the new office bearers and urged the new members to work collectively as “the association is a most respectable organization where people from different section of society and organisations expects more from the association.”
He also advised the new members who are young and educated to always remain humble and remind them to move forward in unity and humility.
Rev Abemo L Jungio pastor Wokha Town Baptist Church led the prayer for the newly elected office bearer and the outgoing members. WDCC&I General Secretary S Abenthung Ngullie pronounced vote of thanks.
The farewell programme was chaired by Mharhomo V Murry with an invocation prayer by Rev Lijamo pastor AG church Wokha while benediction prayer was pronounced by Eyingbeni M E-rui youth director Wokha village Baptist Church.
