WDEA announces new office bearers for 2025–28

WOKHA, SEPTEMBER 7 (MExN): The Wokha District Entrepreneurs’ Association (WDEA), established in 2014 with the motto “Integrating Possibilities,” has announced its office bearers for the 2025–28 tenure following a revival after a 3–4 year gap.

The association, registered under Government No. HOME/SRC-7621, aims to empower local entrepreneurs, foster economic growth, safeguard business interests, facilitate access to government and private support, and promote networking and knowledge sharing among members. It also undertakes social responsibilities contributing to the district’s overall development.

The search committee, formed on July 11, 2025, announced the new office bearers on August 16. The key appointments are: President: Renben Kikon; Vice Presidents: Thunglamo Odyuo, Zarenche Murry; General Secretary: M James Tungoe; Assistant General Secretary: Christy Kikon; Finance Secretary: Janthungo Erui; Treasurer: Lechio Murry; Women Coordinators: Rosalyn Kikon, Nyanbeni Kikon; Executives: Jonas Ovung, Oren Kikon, Vanbemo Humtsoe, Lozubeni Humtsoe, Meribeni Lotha, Nzanchumo Humtsoe, Chonben Tungoe and Advisors: Aben Ngullie, Ponathung Kikon, Vungathung Murry, William Kikon, Yanrenthung Humtsoe.

The association held its inaugural executive meeting on October 1, 2025, at Hotel Hornbill, where President Renben Kikon welcomed the office bearers and highlighted the benefits of joining WDEA.

Decisions taken during the meeting include opening membership registration for local entrepreneurs. The registration fee is Rs 100, while the membership renewal for 2025 is Rs 50. Entrepreneurs can register at Hotel Hornbill & Restaurant from 10 am throughout the month.

The WDEA has invited local business owners to join the association to gain networking opportunities, access resources, and participate in initiatives designed to promote entrepreneurial growth and collaboration in Wokha district.
