Nagaland Minister for Higher Education & Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along today called for an end to ‘gun culture’ in the State.
“We want to see the gun culture out. We want to see corruption, extortion out,” he said while inaugurating the new campus of Coraggio School in Kohima.
“We want to see a golden Nagaland,” he said adding that “we want to see Nagaland that is built with greater aspiration of the Naga people.” The Minister envisioned a future where connections with bureaucrats, ministers and advisors are not used to get jobs. Along challenged the gathering not to forget to aspire and work hard to achieve a bright future for the State.
He lamented that while Nagaland is one of the most literate States in India, many are unable to use their knowledge for a strong Nagaland. “It is because many are educated but not knowledgeable,” the Minister said.
