Weaving Competition: 9th Naga Loin Loom Festival

A participant (winner) inspects her wooden beater during a weaving competition on the second day of the 9th Naga Loin Loom Festival in Diezephe village on December 7th, as a supervisor prepares another contestant.

Another supervisor of the competition meticulously counts the threads woven by the participants during the three-minute timeframe. The winners were adjudged based on the number of threads woven as well as the quality of the finished product.   After two rounds of competition, Vekulü won the first prize by weaving 28 threads in three minutes. Mulutolü Lüpu and Vesevolü Chuzho respectively secured second and third position. (Morung Photos)
