Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): A week long campaign on child rights was launched in Kiphire from November 14 to 20 under the theme ‘It takes a community to protect a child.’ The campaign was launched by the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire.
DC Kiphire Ajit Kumar Ranjan IAS, appreciated the DCPU for taking up such an initiative especially for the children and urged them to emphasise more on child nutrition and child trafficking as it has becoming a major problem.
Sevehu Chuzho, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) stated that their team aims at building community commitment for creating a safe and secure environment for the children and will focus more on child labour and sexual abuse. He also informed that awareness will be held in all the sub-divisions and the villages under Kiphire district.
