Western Chakhesang Youth Org attains 50 years

Kohima, December 30 (MExN): The Western Chakhesang Youth Organization (WCYO) celebrated its golden jubilee at Bade village, Dimapur under the theme ‘Discipline, diligence & toil towards excellence’ on December 20. 

Speaking on the occasion as the special guest, Nagaland’s Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Neiba Kronu emphasized on the need to flourish organic products which can be marketed on commercial scale. He asserted that the people will have to concentrate more on the business sector which can propel the standard of living and self sustainability. Kronu also encouraged the youth to build good rapport with other communities for peaceful co-existence.

Earlier, Kronu unveiled the golden jubilee monolith. 

“We have to strive forward and excel as a community," said MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu while gracing the occasion as the guest of honour. Azo also asserted that "A time has come for us to fight for our rights where it is due, as a community; not encroaching on others right but striving to protect our rights.” "Let us advocate our love and respect to others because love is the greatest gift of all", stated Azo.

Azo also released the jubilee souvenir.

Veshuhu Vero, first president of WCYO invoked act of blessings. Earlier, the programme was led by organizing committee convenor Er. Neisalie Losou while WCYO president Likalo Letro delivered presidential address.
