Dimapur, October 22 (MExN): The Wiz Spell Bee Nagaland conducted its 3rd state level Spell Bee competition on October 16.
The competition was hosted at Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School, Dimapur. This was the penultimate selection competition before the grand finale at Kolkata for the national championship in December, a press release here informed.
The competition initially started at the school level with 2500 students, out of which 380 students made it to the state level face off.
A total of 31 schools from Kohima, Dimapur, Peren and Zunheboto participated in the event.
Ten students from each of the six categories will battle it out with students from all over India in the Grand Finale in Kolkata.
During the event, Kumtila exhorted the students to strive to enlarge their horizon of knowledge; to become better writers and speakers; and to be bold in whatever they pursue in life.
Among Lemtur, Pastor, New Life Church Nagaland, encouraged the students to trust themselves and give their best in everything they do.
St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Peren, Immanuel Higher Secondary School, Zunheboto, Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Kohima hosted the inter-school competition in their respective districts.
