Wokha, September 21 (MExN): Wokha district Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G) celebrated International Day of Peace under the theme ‘Actions for peace: our ambition for the global goals’ at Santsuo School, Wokha on September 21.
Thungbeni Ngullie, President, Lotha Eloe Hoho cum vice president BS&G, Wokha graced the day as the special guest. In her address, Ngullie stated that when there is peace there is happiness and every religion in the world teaches peace. “Peace needs freedom, comfort which leads to happiness,” she asserted. Challenging the gathering, she said, “let us reach our commitment to the global cause and pledge to take action both individually and collectively to create more peacefully.”
The programme was chaired by Zuchoni Ezung, Guide, Santsuo School, welcome note and special number presented by Loyibeni, Headmistress and Scout & Guides of Santsu School and vote of thanks by Chonbemo Lotha, Scout Master.
