Wokha DTF continues with random COVID-19 test

Wokha, May 27 (MExN): As per the decision taken during the District Task Force meeting to continue with the random COVID-19 test, Wokha DTF conducted random test at various location in the town area on May 27.

The rapid/random tests were conducted at PWD junction, Police point, Power House area, Dobashi court and Police Station, Wokha. Altogether 72 person were tested and all turned out to be negative, informed a DIPR report. 

Chief Medical Officer, Wokha Dr CW Tungoe, informed that, as on May 26, out of 2,469 samples tested in the District, a total of 103 were detected positive for COVID-19. CMO also informed that nine persons are at COVID Care Centre, three persons at COVID Hospital, 34 under home isolation. The total number of death stands two while 69 have recovered.

As the District has witnessed in the rise and surge of COVID-19 pandemic cases, such kind of rapid/random testing will continue in the coming days for public health safety.
