Nagaland’s Information Technology & Communication, Science & Technology, New & Renewable Energy Advisor Mmhonlumo Kikon on Sunday, challenged the alumni of Don Bosco Kohima to contribute positively as agents of change for a better future. He also asked them to work and fight for a peaceful Nagaland.

He was optimistic that all alumni would take pledge to become change makers to pursue peace and foster development in the state of Nagaland. “We must be meaningful contributors to the change we want in our society. It must happen with us,” he said.
Kikon also felt that during the year long golden jubilee celebration, the institution should not only focus in term of producing good students or having good academic curriculum but also ensure that students follow the exemplary life and teachings of Don Bosco, stand up against all kinds of injustice and work for progress and development for Nagaland.
Chairperson of Don Bosco Kohima Jubilee Organizing Committee KD Vizo said that Don Bosco Kohima was instituted in 1971 and ever since, it had provided various opportunities to provide the fullest possible development of each learner, using every resource at its disposal. Vizo said that this golden jubilee celebration is an opportunity “for us to reflect as to whether we are preserving the rich legacy and heritage which we have inherited from Don Bosco and our great principals and teachers.”
“It is indeed a matter of great joy that with the launching of this golden jubilee today, our year long golden jubilee celebration will begin and in line with our school motto ‘Duty and Joy,’” he said, while calling on the gathering to continue to do their ordinary duties extraordinarily well, with a joyful heart.
