DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 21 (MExN): Due to the escalating COVID-19 outbreak and the need for social distancing, the Working Woman Project Team, in consultation with various stakeholders, has made the decision to postpone the annual Working Woman Expo 2020, scheduled for December in Dimapur.
“At this time of global health crisis, the health and welfare of all Working Woman Expo participants, as well as our local community is our highest priority and we believe that it is our personal responsibility to be safe by maintaining SOPs. Our thoughts go to the victims of the COVID-19 and we express our solidarity with all of those who are fighting the disease,” a press release from Sentinaro Yanger, Chairperson of the project stated.
It informed that for the past several weeks, the team has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and concluded that postponing the event is a sound decision. “As soon as we are able to assess the real situation, we will communicate our updated plans,” it informed.
