Workshop on First Level Checking of EVMs & VVPATs for District Election Officers and Dy District Election Officers held at Hotel Japfu, Kohima.

Kohima, September 29 (MExN): A full day workshop on First Level Checking of EVMs & VVPATs for District Election Officers and Dy District Election Officers (FLC-in-charge/FLC Supervisors) organised by Election Commission of India in connection with the upcoming Parliamentary Election, 2024 was conducted on September 29 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima. 

Ruokuovituo Khezhie, Chief Electoral Officer Nagaland (officiating) gave the keynote address. Resource persons were Rakesh Kumar, Under Secretary and Pawan Bhattar, Section Officer from the ECI, Taimeren Chang, NCS, State Level Master Trainer for EVM-VVPAT and Roland Merry, ACEO & EVM Nodal Officer. Presentations on EVM Technical & Administrative Safeguard, FLC Process, and doubt clearing on entire management and handling of EVMs/VVPATs in Election process were conducted by the resource persons.

EVM/VVPAT Engineers from Electronic Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), Hyderabad led by Adarsh Kumar, Technical Manager and Krishnakant Pankaj, Technical Officer gave presentation on use of Pre FLC Unit (PFLCU) before conduct of FLC process, demonstrations on Symbol loading in VVPAT using Symbol Loading Unit (SLU) and hands-on demonstration on EVMs & VVPATs.
