Mokokchung, October 27 (MExN): The department of Botany, Fazl Ali College (FAC) conducted a hands-on workshop on Oyster Mushroom Cultivation as a community extension service on October 27. It was held under the aegis of Vocationalization of Higher Education under RUSA, MHRD, Government of India.
The inaugural program was attended by S Arenla Longkumer, Principal FAC and Dr Imtiwati Jamir, RUSA Co-ordinator FAC. A press release from FAC informed that the workshop was attended by 15 women trainees including homemakers and unemployed youths from within the district. The resource person was Noami, Head of Department, Botany, FAC. The College has been offering Certificate Course on Mushroom Cultivation and spawn production to the students of the College for the last three years.
