Dimapur, May 24 (MExN): The Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) organised a programme for laying the WSBAK Heritage Foundation Stone at S Hetoyi Village on May 24. 

“Looking back into the history of WSBAK in the year 1947 under the leadership of late Shiqhevi and late Ghonito Evangelist, they started a fellowship for the Western Sümi called Christian Endeavor at Sakipheto School which was situated at H Khehoyi Village which is now presently resided by S Hetoyi Village. The formation of Christian Endeavour in 1947 led to the establishment of WSBAK marking this year as the year of WSBAK Platinum Jubilee. The WSBAK Heritage site land measuring 9.13 acre was donated by S Hetoyi Village and H Khehoyi Village,” Rev Dr Phughoto Sema, Executive Secretary, WSBAK stated in a press release. 

The foundation stone was unveiled by Advisor Tourism & Art & Culture Khehovi Yepthomi and dedicated by Rev Dr Phughoto Sema. Khehovi in his speech shared about the importance of traditional lifestyle and how we should preserve biodiversity in our community. The programme was chaired by Rev Tovishe Sema, Secretary DoME WSBAK, greetings was delivered by Shikaho Zhimomi, President WSH, vote of thanks was shared by Er Ahoto Sema, President WSBAK Council and the closing prayer was done by Rev. Dr. Khetoshe Aye.

The programme was attended WSBAK Staff, WSBAK CLF members, and well wishers.
