YVSU supports demand for adequate manpower, facilities at CHC Shamator

Shamator, June 7 (MExN): The Yakor Village Students’ Union (YVSU) has extended unflinching support to the memorandum submitted by Joint Co-ordination Committee (JCC), Shamator on May 26 to the Chief Minister of Nagaland in regard to unavailability of adequate manpower, facilities at Community Health Centre (CHC) Shamator.

“Despite several appeals made by various Civil Society Organisations under Shamator area the Government is yet to take steps on it,” said a press release issued by YVSU President Kehoto Yimchunger and General Secretary S Hanji Yimchunger.

It stated that ‘due to lack of adequate facilities, medicines, the people under its jurisdiction are facing a lot of difficulties since CHC Shamator is the only lone medical care under Yimchunger Headquarter.’ Therefore, it urged the concerned authority to fulfill the memorandum submitted by JCC. 

Meanwhile, the Union cautioned the concerned authority that “if its demands are unfulfilled, they would go to any extend through any possible means” and assured its full support to the demand/memorandum submitted by JCC.
