ZAPO withdraws blockade of NH 702

ZUNHEBOTO, MARCH 11 (MExN): The Zunheboto Area Public Organization (ZAPO) has withdrawn blockade of the National Highway 702 after a meeting was convened by the Deputy Commissioner, Peter Lichamo with the construction firm M/s Multi Builders.


A press release from the ZAPO informed that the organization along with the firm held a consultative meeting on March 11 and resolved to take several undertakings to ensure that work on the NH 702 (Km 40 to Km 53) is carried out smoothly. 


The Department (EE, PWD NH Mkg division) and M/s Multi Builders agreed with the ZAPO to undertake the work of soiling and metaling of the full stretch, work for which will be initiated by the month of March 2020 in full swing. The same will be completed within 3 months of signing the agreement.


The ZAPO and ZRSU agreed to extend all logistic support during the period of soiling and metaling works whenever necessary and also to provide a timely supervision.


The meeting was attended by the ZAPO Executives & Advisers, the Executive Engineer PWD NH (Mokokchung Division) and his subordinate, the proprietor of M/s Multi Builders firm and the Zunheboto Range students’ Union (ZRSU).
