Dimapur, November 14 (MExN): The election commission of Zeliangrong Baudi AMN (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) today notified that the election for various posts under the organisation for 2021-23 tenure will be held on January 15, 2021 in Tuarang Village, in Manipur.
Among others, the election will be held for the post of President, General Secretary and other secretaries, Treasurer, Auditor General, and post in Assembly Affairs including Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Assembly Secretary.
The nomination paper for the election will be issued from 10 am-6 pm of January 14 while the submission period is 6 pm, January 14- 8 am, January 15.
The nomination paper can be obtained from the commission by paying a sum Rs 1000, a press release informed.
Meanwhile, the release from the commission informed that the scrutiny of papers will be held from 8-9 am of January 15, while a candidate can withdraw from 10-10:30 am, the same day.
The election will be held at 11 am.
Any Zeliangrong by birth, who has reached 35 years of age, is eligible to contest for the post of president and vice president, while the minimum age is 30 years for other executive members.
A contestant for president and vice president must also be a graduate, the release added.
