Phek, December 21 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Secretary, Dr J Alam IAS graced the 65th general session of the Zhavame Students’ Union (ZSU) held at Public Amphitheatre, Pame Tsude, Zhavame village of Phek on December 21.
A DIPR report stated that the session was held with the theme ‘Equipping Students for a Brighter Tomorrow’
Addressing the occasion, Dr J Alam spoke about the rich cultural heritage and practice of the state, which has progressive impact on the Naga people. Challenging the student community to have their target and aim in life, Alam called upon the students to work harder towards their aims, be it in Arts, Music, Sports or in the government offices as officers.
The Chief Secretary also acknowledged his keen interest in the developmental activities of the Zhavame village and stated that the construction of road connectivity from Zhavachi to Zhavame village, a proposal initiated by the Zhavame village, has been approved and sanctioned amounting to Rupees twenty-five lakh.
President of NSF, Medovi Rhi was the guest of honour, while Section Officer, SCERT, Verekhru Domeh was the valedictory guest of the general session.
