DIMAPUR, AUGUST 27 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Students' Union Nagaland (XSUN) has reiterated its appeal to all the private educational institutions under Peren district to take initiatives and consider concession/reduction of schools fee.
A press release from the ZSUN President, Dithuibo Newmai and Education & Statistics Secretary, Haimet Kuame also called upon the educational institutions to join hands in the fight against the pandemic, empathize with the parents to ease their financial burden on humanitarian ground amid this global disaster.
The ZSUN said it is aware that the decision to reduce school fees may affect schools' revenue considering the expenditure of teacher’s salary and other cases. “However, we pray that the educational institutions would also understand the parents who are overburdened and struggling with their job,” it added.
It expressed hope that “at the least, the private educational institutions would see the cases of parents in genuine distress and consider on individual basis for school fee reduction or concession and deferment.”
The ZSUN further appealed to the State Education Department to work towards the best interest of schools and parents.
