Zubza: Seminar on substance abuse and treatment on March 13

Kohima, March 11 (MExN): The District Level Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug-free India) Campaign Committee, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, Kohima district is organizing a one day ‘seminar on substance abuse and treatment’ at village council hall, Zubza on March 13 from 9:30 am onwards.

It will be held in association with Social Welfare Department and Youth Mission Nagaland.

Kohima Deputy Commissioner Gregory Thejawelie will also speak at the introductory service. Akali Sema, DWO, social welfare department Kohima will share about Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign while Kevithuto Sophie will talk on ‘Law enforcement on illicit drugs/alcohol’.

Dr Viketoulie Pienyu, MO State Mental Health Institute will talk on ‘Ill-effects of substance abuse’. Dr R Rose, Medical Officer, Youth Mission will talk on ‘Process of addiction and recovery’ while Rev Dr Thupuo Nyekha, president Youth Mission will talk on ‘The church’s role in care & counselling of chemical dependents’. Abeinuo Jasmine Ashao, EAC Kohima will lead the question hour and interaction.

Youth Mission project director Joseph will lead the introduction to Youth Mission Addiction Recovery Programme.
