Zunheboto Govt College hosts 2nd inter-departmental research seminar

The Research Committee, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Zunheboto Government College, organized the 2nd inter-departmental seminar on November 1 at the College Conference Hall. The seminar aimed to promote academic research and foster interdisciplinary engagement among the faculty and students of the institution.

The programme featured three paper presentations by Assistant Professors of Zunheboto Government College. Everkali V. Achumi, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, presented a paper titled “Parallel Mandates, Divergent Dynamics: A Comparative

Study of State Assembly and Parliamentary Elections in Nagaland (1967–2024).” N. Chumbeni Jami, Assistant Professor, Department of History, presented on “Benjung Han as a Culinary Heritage of Pangti Village,” while Kevilevonuo Monica Kezie-o, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, delivered a paper on “A focus on the fundamentals of plastic: Natural Polymer to Synthetic Polymer.”

The seminar witnessed active participation and interaction among the attendees, who engaged in thoughtful discussions following each presentation. The event served as a platform for academic exchange, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue and collaborative research.

In his remarksthe Principal of Zunheboto Government College, Dr R. Bendangtemjen, commended the presenters for their well-researched papers and lauded the efforts of the Research Committee and IQAC for organizing the event. He emphasized the need for continued academic initiatives to strengthen the research culture and encourage scholarly excellence within the college.

The seminar concluded with positive feedback from faculty and students alike, reflecting the institution’s ongoing commitment to promoting research-based learning and academic collaboration.
