Zunheboto prepares for National Science Congress

Zunheboto, August 26 (DIPR): National Science Congress Organising Committee Meeting was held at Zunheboto on August 25 at the DC’s Conference Hall for the forth coming State Level National Science Congress to be held on October 20 and 21.
Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, C. Kiheto Sema in his address said that the people of Zunheboto is going to have a big privilege in hoisting the State Level National Science Congress event which is to be held in the month of October 2011 and he requested the District Education Officer Zunheboto and all concern to encourage the students to participate in the event. He also added that the event was very important and benefiting for the district and further assured for every possible rapports from the Administrative sides so that the programme could be organised in a benefiting honour.
Co-ordinator (NIHESW) Kohima Nagaland, Santu Thepa while briefing on National Science Congress said the programme is to inculcates Scientific temper in the minds of an individual. He further said that this is the programme where both NGOs and Government would work hand-in-hand and said that any individual in the age group of 10 – 17 years can participate in the programme i.e regular students, school drop outs and handicap blind etc.
 This was followed by an interaction amongst the members. The programme regarding the State Level National Science Congress was chalked out as follows-Venue arrangement in-charge Chief Advisor Zunheboto Town Council; Local Media Coverage - DPRO, Zunheboto;     Marching Pipe Band from DC’s Office to Town Hall Zunheboto – Assam Rifles Zunheboto Construction of Gate -  Sumi Kukami Hoho Zunheboto; Security to be provided by SP Zunheboto; Flag hoisting - SP and PHED Zunheboto and Identification of Resource persons for evaluation of child scientist – DEO Zunheboto.
The programme was chaired by Director NIHESW, Dr. Inakhe Sumi and vote of thanks was proposed by Vinni Chishi.
