Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): 1 Nagaland Air Squadron, NCC under the aegis of NCC Group HQs Kohima conducted an awareness campaign on the occasion of World Water Day at the Eastern Christian College, Dimapur.
A press release issued by PRO (Defence), Kohima & Imphal stated that a total of 200 cadets participated in the event. The cadets took out a rally at Purana Bazar, Dimapur and interacted with the locals passing the message of the importance of water as a valuable resource.
During the event, a lecture cum interaction was conducted with Akangmeren Imchen, Scientist B of Nagaland Pollution Control Board as the resource person.
The CO also conveyed his appreciation to Hukato Chishi IFS, member secretary of the Nagaland Pollution control board, and Dr Kenisenuo Solo, Principal, Eastern Christian College for their support for educating the young cadets of the unit.
