1135 constables appointed in Nagaland Police from March 2018 to January 2020

Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister (Home) Y Patton today informed that a total of 1135 police constables have been appointed from March 2018 to January 2020.
Replying this to MLA Dr Imtiwapang at the 5th session of 13th NLA here today, the Home Minister furnished the district wise number of appointment made:
Kohima-409 (including 206 appointments of open recruitment rally), Mokokchung-81, Tuensang- 91, Dimapur- 133, Wokha-49, Zunheboto-57, Mon-104, Longleng-45, Phek-78, Kiphire-42 and Peren- 46.
Further, a total of 35 sub-inspectors, which includes UBSI (GD), Sub Inspector (technical) and Sub Inspector (Opr), were appointed during the same period.
Later, replying to MLA Yitachu in a starred question, Patton informed that there is proposal for creation of Village Guards post in the state.
The consolidate proposal also includes Kanjang village under Meluri ADC headquarter of Phek district.
