Wokha, November 27 (MExN): In continuation of the 16 days activism, a medical camp at Primary Health Centre, Sungro Circle was organized by Wokha District Administration, Department of Health & Family Welfare, DLCW-MSK and Sakhi-OSC, Wokha in collaboration with Nagaland State Commission for Women on November 26.
Dr Wonchano E Enny, WWO, DLCW-MSK gave a short introduction on BBBP and enlightened the participants with the service provided by DLCW-MSK. She encouraged every women folk to come forward and avail the services implemented by the government.
Renthunglo Kikon, CA, OSC gave a short introduction and services of Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC).
Dr Pankathung Ezung, Medical Officer, Sungro Circle highlighted about the concept of PC&PNDT Act, comparison between Male & Female Sex Ratio and encourage the community to work for better society.
Chichanthung L Ezung, District Co-ordinator, DLCW-MSK highlighted about the importance of Girl Child. He encouraged every participant to give equal status, both men and women, and also to educate the girl child in bringing changes to our society.
The programme was chaired by Chichanthung L. Ezung, District Co-ordinator, DLCW-MSK. Vote of thanks was delivered by Adv. Thungbeni Kikon, Case Worker, OSC.
