First VDB village building under construction in Kutsapo village, Phek district.

The first VDB village building in remembrance of AM Gokhale and Late Vamuzo Phesao is under construction in Kutsapo village under Phek district.
They were the pioneers in the formation of Village Development Boards in Nagaland.
VDB was first formed on December 6, 1976 in Kutsapo village with the initiative of AM Gokhale and was implemented throughout the state of Nagaland under the leadership of Late Vamuzo, the then Chief Minister of Nagaland.
The VDB Kutsapo, in remembrance of the two great leaders is undertaking construction of a two storied building, according to Annual Administrative Report 2019-20 of the Department of Rural Development.
The ground floor of the building, named after Late Phesao will house a library and the first floor with a seating capacity of 1000 will be named AM Gokhale Hall.
The building is being constructed under MGNREGA and GIA and is scheduled to be inaugurated in the month of March 2020 by AM Gokhale, former Chief Secretary, Nagaland.
