Wokha, November 23 (MExN): The 28 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 5 Sector Assam Rifles and HQ IGAR (North) carried out interaction with village GBs and Chairman of Wokha district at Battalion Headquarters Wokha on November 20. A total of 22 GBs/Chairman participated. The aim of the interaction programme was to familiarize the villagers about the various opportunities for the youths of Nagaland in Security Forces, stated a press release from DIPR.
Important issues pertaining to development of health, education and women empowerment were also discussed. It focused on bridging the gap between Security Forces and village traditional bodies through mutual interaction and co-operation to bring peace and harmony in the region. Commandant 28 Assam Rifles, Wokha, Col. Hiren Borah took part in the discussion hour and acknowledged the participants for the co-operation.
