469 arrested for violation of lockdown

As many as 469 people have been arrested in Nagaland for reportedly violating the nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus, according to data compiled by covid19.nagaland.gov.in.

Out of these, 5 cases were listed as ‘social media cases’ and 464 arrests were categorized as ‘other cases.’

According to the data, as on April 24, there were 617 violations of Lockdown/Curfew Orders and 335 vehicles were seized for non-compliance with lockdown regulations.

Fines amounting to Rs 46700 were collected from the offenders, it said.

A total of 71 FIRs were registered till April 24 while 421 Non-FIR cases were reported.
