Joint CCA NE–II reviews DBN-funded infrastructure under amended BharatNet

Kohima, February 12 (MExN): A team from the Office of the Joint Controller of Communication Accounts (Joint CCA), North East–II Circle, conducted field inspections of Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) sites in Mokochung district under the 4G Saturation Project, according to a PIB release.

The inspections were carried out on February 3 at Asetti (Ur), Chudarongpang and Tuli villages as part of the project being implemented through the Amended BharatNet initiative.

The team assessed the readiness and functionality of the 4G infrastructure, including verification of installed equipment, power supply, backhaul connectivity and quality of service parameters. The exercise aimed to ensure that the infrastructure created under the project delivers reliable mobile broadband connectivity in uncovered and remote areas.

Officials also examined site-level records and project documentation to ensure transparent utilisation of DBN funds and adherence to prescribed technical and financial guidelines, while identifying field-level challenges for timely resolution.

K Sajal, Joint CCA, North East–II, stated that the inspections are intended to ensure effective on-ground delivery of DBN-funded 4G infrastructure in line with project objectives and digital inclusion goals.

The inspection forms part of ongoing monitoring and verification efforts by the Office of the Joint CCA, North East–II to support universal digital access and strengthen digital infrastructure in the North Eastern Region, the release stated.
