Dimapur, January 9 (MExN): Dimapur police apprehended seven persons in extortion related incidents. As per a press release from Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police/PRO, Dimapur, on January 8, Dimapur Police apprehended six persons from Dellai Gate area, Dimapur and recovered mobile handsets (7 nos) and cash of Rs 1,41,940 from their possession.
The accused were identified as Hotong Rongmei, Leacy NSCN(IM), Akin Sumi, Zhehuto, Vihuka, Asheto Sumi and Kito Sumi. In this connection, a case has been registered at West Police Station, Dimapur. On January 7, Dimapur Police apprehended one Lanuyanger Tzudir, Rajapeyu of NSCN (IM) while extorting money from butcher shop at Forest Colony Dimapur. In this connection a case has been registered at West Police Station Dimapur.
