As many as 7 road mishaps were reported in various parts of Dimapur under the jurisdiction of Traffic Control (Zone I) on December 24 and 25. According to the Dimapur police, the accidents claimed 1 live and 2 others injured. 6 of the accidents occurred on December 25 and one on December 24. 

The accident on December 24, involving a motorbike with two persons, occurred around 11:30pm near the MH Hospital junction, Tajen Ao Road. Two youths, in their mid-20s, were said to have been injured. Less than an hour later, two Maruti Altos collided at the Dhobinullah junction. Fortunately no one was injured. 

The third occurred near the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School junction at around 5:30 am. It involved an Innova driven by a 25-year old youth, who was said to have escaped unhurt. 

The fourth claimed one live when a Maruti Ecco collided with a truck near the DMC toll gate, NH 29 at around 6:00 am. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained. 

The fifth involved a scooty with two persons near the old Dhansiri bridge at around 9:50 pm. The police report did not specify the extent of injury and only stated that the injured were admitted to the District Hospital. 

The sixth was a collision between a scooty and a Maruti Alto at around 11:00pm near the Burma Camp junction. The seventh involved a Mahindra Alturas at around 11:10 pm near the DMC toll gate, NH 29. No casualty was reported in both which happened in quick succession and only a couple of 100 meters apart. 

No vehicular mishap was officially reported from areas under Traffic Control (Zone II) during the two days.
