Nine district and organisational district presidents of BJP today questioned the integrity of Nagaland state BJP president Temjen Imna Along in running the affairs of the party and the recent removal of three district BJP presidents.

The nine district presidents, which includes Kohima, Tuensang, Phek, Kiphire, Peren, Aboi, Mon, Noklak and Wokha, also recently alleged his (Along) style of party functioning as “dictatorial and autocratic.”

Talking to media persons here today, they opposed his style of functioning and demanded his resignation from the post of Nagaland state BJP president.

Nücutso Ruho said that he was unceremoniously removed as president of Phek district BJP by the state BJP president on June 23 last.

Ruho said that he was elected as president of Phek district BJP through the constitutional process.

He said that no official notification or valid reason was given to him about his removal.

Ruho demanded that Along should gracefully resign from the post of the party president.

Seyiekhrielie Nagi said that he was also removed from the president of Kohima district BJP on September 28.

He said that any amount of removal should be routed through Disciplinary Action Committee and not the way Along done on his own will.

Nagi argued that he (Along) had done without following the procedure of the party constitution, which spoil the image of the BJP party.

He said that 9 District BJP presidents will be meeting the BJP central leaders on October 12 in Kohima.

He alleged that Along runs the party affairs from his residence, adding that Along is good at social media but there is nothing at the grass root or in ground reality.

T. Chongshen Chang said that he was also removed as president of Tuensang District BJP on August 27 without serving show cause notice.

He said that Along had done all this on his own will, dishonouring the party constitution.

“He is state BJP president. He should go according to BJP constitution,” Chongshen said.
