Dimapur, January 2 (MExN): Rhythms & Aromas of the North East, a regional series music festival to be held in entire North Eastern states initiated by Eastern Beats Society, Guwahati and sponsored by North East Council, Shillong was inaugurated in Dimapur at Howey Jungle, Nihoto on December 30.
The Dimapur chapter hosted by Abiogenesis was graced by Madhurkankana Roy, Regional Director, ICCR Guwahati Regional Office, as special guest.
A press release issued by Moa Subong, Festival Co-Ordinator, Dimapur stated that the show was hosted by Yanpo Humtsoe while Alex Todd, President of Eastern Beats Society shared in brief about the festival.
The festival saw performances from eight bands, three bands from Assam and four bands from Nagaland including Kenny and The Faith band from Kohima; Jambilli, a folk fusion band from Diphu; SCRVLET from Kohima; Ambong, a project band from Mokokchung; Little Beats, a Bolly Rock band from Assam; Paradigm Shift from Dimapur and Ambush rock band from Diphu.
Selected bands from Dimapur Chapter along with bands from other NE states will get an opportunity to perform at Guwahati International Music Festival 2020.
