Adolescent Girl's Club formed in Longleng

Students during the meeting for formation of Adolescent Girl's Club Longleng at DC's Conference Hall on November 1. 

Longleng, November 2 (MExN): The District Task Force Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Mahila Shakti Kandra Longleng along with district Administrator conducted meeting at DC’s Conference hall on November 1 for the formation of Adolescent Girl's Club Longleng. Rohib Sangtam, EAC headquarters  Longleng highlighted the purpose of the meeting. Phungla Phom (WWO) gave a brief introduction about the girl's club. The main objective of the club foundation group was to empower girls to make them learn about the problems that they face in everyday life and to generate awareness. 

The club will focus on personal hygiene, child sexual abuse and teenage pregnancy. The programme was chaired by Eastern District Co-ordinator Longleng, which was attended by more than ten schools under Longleng District.
