In a span of two weeks, Nagaland’s Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Advisor Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire visited various home quarantine centres set up at different colonies of Kohima District.
He visited the quarantine centres of Forest Colony, Paramedical, Lerie Chazou, Lower AG, Upper Chandmari, Naga Bazar, New Minister's Hill, Poterlane, Electrical colony, Agri Farm and Lower Agri colony to access the functioning of these centres.
During his visit, he expressed appreciation and satisfaction over the preparedness and joint efforts of the colony authorities in providing the home quarantine facilities for the returnees, post completion of the mandatory 14 day institutional quarantine. He also extended financial assistance to the colonies he visited.
While taking stock on the ground situation, he convened a short discussion with the respective colony chairman and colony authorities engaged at the Quarantine centres.
He lauded their team-work and encouraged them to continue to extend their best possible services to help the people put in the quarantine centres.
Further, D Kire briefed advisory precautions that may be adopted to combat the surge of COVID pandemic and community transmissions.
