AGEI holds triennial general conference in Dimapur
AGEI held its 26th triennial general conference from January 7 to 9 at Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Walford, Dimapur.
Dimapur, January 9 (MExN): The Assemblies of God of East India (AGEI) held its 26th triennial general conference from January 7 to 9 at Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Walford, Dimapur.
It was held under the theme ‘Revival and Mission’ with the speakers Rev Dr David Mohan, General Superintendent, Assembly of God, India; Rev Valson Varghese, New Life AG Church, Secunderabad and Rev Shwu Eng, Grace Mission, Singapore. Special guest Rev Solomon Wasker, Pioneer of the AGEI also attended the conference.
Around 400 delegates attended the conference representing all the Assemblies of God churches of seven states of East India, a press release received here informed. Speaking at the gathering, the main speakers spoke on the call of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, evangelism, church planting, revival, family and God’s anointing.
During the conference, ordination service was also conducted. Ordination was given to Rev Sam Sanga, Rev Moses Langneh and Rev Surya Narayan Thapa from Assam, Rev TK David and Rev Kam Khan Thanga from Manipur, Rev Mangkholen Haokip, Rev Thangboi Kipgen and Rev N Mocha Singh from Manipur Hill, Rev John Homkhu from Arunachal, Rev Amos Sangma from Meghalaya, Rev Mhonyamo Ngullie, Rev Lijamo Kikon and Rev Nribemo Ezung from Nagaland.
The new office bearers for AGEI were also elected for the tenure 2020-2022 which will be led by Rev Moses Murry as General Superintendent, Rev Dr MS.Nongrem as Assistant General Superintendent, - Rev R Sanga Keivom as General Secretary, Rev Dr Jacky Simte as Treasurer and executive members: Rev H Sangboi, Rev Dilip Debbarma and Rev ZS Lala.
