AIMA Nagaland celebrates Kerala Statehood Day

Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): All India Malayali Association (AIMA) Nagaland State Chapter in association with Kerala Samajam Dimapur celebrated ‘Kerala Piravi’ (Statehood Day of Kerala) at Kerala Samajam Office Complex at Midland, Dimapur on November 1. 

The highlight of the celebration was an exhibition of cartoons by famous cartoonist Sudheernath and vintage photographs depicting the culture, community life, socio-political events took place in the state of Kerala in the past decades of existence.
Nalina Kumar, President of Kerala Samajam Dimapur inaugurated the cartoon and photo exhibition at Kerala Samajam Hall. Exhibition is open for the public and will continue till November 3.

AIMA, Nagaland General Secretary Reji Abraham in a press release stated that All India Malayali Association - an umbrella organization of Malayali organizations spread across the country is working for the welfare and upliftment of Corallites living all over India. 

As part of its effort to spread the vibrant culture and heritage of Kerala among the new generation of Keralites who are born and brought up in different states of India, far from the land of their origin organizing this Photo cum Cartoon Exhibition all across the country in 55 centers. AIMA is aiming to create a Guinness World Record in “Largest Simultaneous Photography Exhibition” category, the release added.

A quiz competition also will be conducted for the school children and youth on Kerala’s culture, history, literature and language. The quiz competition for Nagaland will be conducted on November 3 at Kerala Samajam Auditorium, Dimapur.
