The office is turning into jungle and there is no sign of life in the office premises.

On interacting with the Sub-inspector, it is learnt that staff shortage is the sole handicap in discharging his duty. 8th NAP F. Coy (Akuluto):
The F. Coy of 8th NAP Akuluto is no better than a Platon both in terms of officers and strength. Asst. Commandant be posted to Akuluto if company is to be retained, as the same company is also looking after the security of Nagaland University (N.U) Lumami HQ. F. Coy Akuluto has no vehicle discharging prompt duties is handicapped due to the lake of conveyance. Therefore, it is appealed to the Commandant 8th NAP Naltoqa to dispatch at least one light and heavy vehicle to F. Coy Akuluto in the interest of the Public safety and security.

Information and Public Relations (I.P.R):
Shri. Obed Sumi, Information Assistant attached to SDO (C) Office Akuluto, is never in the station inspite of repeated intimation, he hasn’t shown up till date. The area public will be grateful if the said official is disciplined by the department concerned.
Sub-Treasury Office Akuluto:
The inaugural of the Sub-treasury Office at Akuluto was in 1997 by Shri. S.C Jamir Former Chief Minister Nagaland has become a history. Whereas, official staffs are appointed against Akuluto sub-Division and the salaries are drawn from the state exchequers. The appearance of these officials with office is still a matter of luck to us. The matter may be taken seriously by the department concern please.
Other department like Administration, Medical, Veterinary, Electrical and Community Information Centre (C.I.C) were found to be functioning efficiently and sincerely.
In the light of the above findings, the Area Students’ Union warned all the erring officials to reach Akuluto on or before 7th August 2006 failing which they will not be allowed to enter Akuluto only to draw salaries. How can the Area Public repose faith in the district or state administration when almost all its machining bearer are insigne and corrupt. The same phenomena is not only experienced in Akuluto but through out the breadth and length of the state sub-divisions. The State Govt. should stop sponsoring salary govt. It is disheartening to realize that 90% of the govt. officials work solely for salary/money. And the welfare well-being of the people and the department is always put a secondary issue. It is therefore appealed to the state govt. to take corrective steps before the matter run out of hand.
