All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) office bearers and others elected for the tenure 2022-2024.
Zunheboto, January 31 (MExN): The 50th general conference of All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) concluded on January 30. The SKK elected Katho P Awomi as President, Nito Zhimomi as Vice President and Hekato Achumi as the General Secretary for the tenure 2022-2024.
Dr Hokheto Chophi speaking during the devotional session said, “water without fish remains water, but fish without water is dead, earth without tress still is a tree but trees without earth is dead likewise God without man is still God but Man without God is nothing.” He added that “God knows what's best for people and He know when the right time is and when it should be disposed. When people do his best God will do the rest.”
Vikheho Swu speaking in the valedictory session urged upon the students to promote clean election. He said that the delegates present were all leaders of their own area and urge upon them not to be sold to money. He further called upon the Sumis to be peace makers, and that if we want to bring peace we have to think out of the box. He also stressed upon the Sumis to have cordial relationship with other tribe inorder to bring peace.
