ANCSU 19th biennial general conference underway in Zunheboto

The 19th Biennial General Conference of All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) commenced today under the theme “Transcendence” at Zunheboto Government College (ZGC), Zunheboto.


Addressing the introductory session, School Education Advisor KT Sukhalu said “A new challenges are coming ahead of us. I hope and express that a new landing will be favourable."


He acknowledged the efforts of the Government of India and the various NNPGs, for the initiatives to be on board and expressed happiness that it will bring positive changes to the Nagas with a new chapter.


Sukhalu also advised the students to be job givers and not job seekers stating the human resources in the state is not being properly utilized which he opined that the attitude must be changed and think out of the box to improve the GDP.


Sharing greetings, Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SKK) president Atokiho urged the students to do away with tribalism and favoritism.


ZGC principal Dr. K Nishena Nekha delivered welcome speech while ANCSU general secretary Vimeyiekho Vitso presented the general secretary report.


Earlier, the programme was chaired by ANCSU vice-president, Benjong Longchar while introductory note was delivered by ANCSU tribunal general Kuzoto Lohe.


Meanwhile, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will grace the inaugural session on November 7 at 9:30 am while MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu will grace the cultural session at 2:00 pm.


Cultural session will be marked by folk song, folk music, indigenous games etc.
