Kohima, September 23 (MExN): The All Nagaland Disabled People’s Organization (ANDPO) has submitted a representation to the Principal Secretary (Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department) for practical implementation for 3% of the vacancies reserved for physically challenged candidates.
The ANDPO, in a representation, while acknowledging the advertisement No.AR-3/Gen-212/2010 dated Kohima the 19th Sept 2010 “for 3% of the vacancies are reserved for physically challenged candidates, wherever applicable, as per government notification,” however said that “there is no any directive and indication for practical implementation for 3% of the vacancies reserved for physically challenged candidates, both in the directorate and the district level.”
In this connection, the ANDPO requested the competent authority to kindly work out the modalities as per the advertisement for judicious implementation.
“Failure on your part to comply with the said existing policy for the physically challenged, we have no other option but to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of our grievances, before the examination is conducted by the concerned authority,” ANDPO added.
